Features of Common Materials for Knee Pad
Material for sports kneepads are mainly cotton, wool, leather, blended materials
1. Cotton: It is breathable and with moisture absorption, but easy to wrinkle after washing and wearing; It has large shrinkage of about 4-10%, the general insulation and non anti-fungal.
2. Wool: Common kneepad wool fabric materials are wool, angora, camel hair, etc., they have a high thermal performance but poor permeability, thus sweat cannot be distributed; It has poor anti-moth, and looked old and dry after a period time.
3. Leather: Leather is breathable and warm, but cannot be soaked; Artificial leather is not afraid of damp, warm, but has poor ventilation.
4. Blend: With the development of blended fibers, which to some extent make up for some of the shortcomings of traditional materials, but its moisture absorption, thermal performance is not satisfactory. Such as cotton and polyester blended fabrics called Cotton Dacron, with fastness, Tinggua, quick-drying, easy-care advantages, but less wearability e.g. absorbent, breathable than cotton fabric.
