A Baby Kneepad Is The Best Way to Prevent to Children Knee Injuries

Knee injuries are quite common in children and young people, especially as they undergo growth spurts, putting their joints under additional strain. it is very important for parents to learn some knowledge of the knee joint to help prevent sports and daily activities injury in your child.

What are knee injuries?

1.The typical injury in a baby/child is a knee sprain. The arterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the most common knee ligament to be damaged in a sports injury, usually by a sudden twist or landing badly after a jump.

2.Another common injury is a strain. This is when the child has torn a muscle or tendon. It will be very painful and you always can see bruises around the knee.

3.The risk of tendinitis. This can happen when a tendon gets inflamed or irritated. It often leads to pain on walking or trying to extend a leg.

Where does knee injuries happened?

Knee injuries as the common sports injuries are experienced often by school children, or maybe the toddlers, as they usually occur during the kinds of sports activities that take place at school - especially rugby, football and hockey, and on the road and backyard without the attention of adults after school. All of these put pressure on the knee joint through running, jumping and, twisting and landing - including the inevitable occasional collision!

How to avoid the knee injury?

The best advice for most knee injuries is to rest the knee and apply compression. A knee brace quite often can help. It is always said that prevention is always better than cure! You would be better to encourage your child to wear protective equipment for sport, such as baby kneepads and shin guards. Knee support including knee straps and knee braces can also help prevent further injury if your child's knee has been injured previously, making it more vulnerable.
